CHILDCARE FACILITIES ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Environmental guidance for childcare centers in New Jersey
As of June 2007, all child-care centers must conduct a site investigation prior to obtaining or to maintain their State Day-Care License. To meet the environmental requirements of the Department of Children and Families (DCF), regulated day-care centers must complete a Preliminary Assessment and obtain a Response Action Outcome (“RAO”) from a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP).
Since the new regulation inception BABS environmental team members have been instrumental in helping child care centers get the approval for their new Licenses and Renewals. Our Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) will conduct a thorough site visit, prepare a detailed Preliminary Assessment Report, and work closely with the Indoor Environmental Health Assessment (IEHA) Consultant to ensure the environmental process is completed smoothly.
Client benefits:
- During your free consultation, BABS will present you with a clear picture of the environmental requirements.
- If no Areas of Concern are identified, then a Response Action Outcome (“RAO”) and a RAO form shall also be prepared.
- The LSRP shall also assist the client with the completion of the NJDEP grant application for reimbursement of up to $1,500 of the cost of conducting the PA, if available.
- The LSRP will work closely with the designated IEHA Consultant for continuity and client comfort.
BABS saves you money by applying for State Grant money up to $1,500 after you receive your RAO.
